About MSK Vets

Advanced musculoskeletal care for dogs and cats in Leicestershire

At MSK Vets, we provide referral services for local veterinary practices and support pets with arthritis, joint pain, and mobility issues. Our team combines extensive clinical experience with the latest advances in regenerative therapies, including stem cells and platelet-rich plasma (PRP).

We have been helping the veterinary profession and pet owners for many years, supporting animals of all breeds, sizes, and ages. Our team has played a key role in developing the use of stem cell and PRP therapies in veterinary medicine, originally in horses and now adapted for dogs and cats.

Our mission:

  • Improve comfort and mobility in pets.
  • Offer evidence-based, practical treatment options.
  • Work collaboratively with your regular vet to ensure continuity of care.

We pride ourselves on providing a relaxed, supportive environment for pets and owners, ensuring that every animal receives the care and attention they need to live comfortably and actively.

Arianne Beaufort

Registered Vet Nurse

“My motivation for choosing to work for MSK Vets has come from having seen pateints’ lifespan cut short due to Osteoarthritis. This has fuelled my interest in the varying treatment options and the desire to help clients give their pets the best possible quality of life.”

Xena Beaufort

Mayhem & Mischief Manager

Having come from Spain in 2023 at the age of around 6 months Xena now lives with vet nurse mum Arianne. Together they enjoy walks, trying to find treasure while metal detecting, making sure squirrels stay up in trees (where they belong) and relaxing in front of the fire in the evening. Apart from keeping mum company Xena has a fulltime job at Nupsala as she is the resident manager of mayhem and mischief.

Milo Tucciaronezio

Milo, our charming feline companion, who joined the family in 2016 after a challenging start in Italy following a car accident. Unfortunately, no one came forward to reclaim him, so he quickly settled into his new role as king of the household. Milo’s exact age remains a mystery, but he doesn’t let that stop him from daily adventures, exploring the village, socialising with neighbours, and graciously accepting affection from everyone he meets. He confidently maintains his royal status, both at home and beyond

How to Get Referred to MSK Vets

Referral care for dogs and cats with arthritis, joint pain, and mobility issues

At MSK Vets, we provide specialist musculoskeletal assessment and treatment for dogs and cats. Most cases require a referral from your primary care vet, so we can receive all the necessary medical information to provide the best care and treatment options for your pet.

How the Referral Process Works

Your vet makes the referral

Your vet can submit the referral via our Online Referrals page.

They will provide us with your pet’s medical history, recent imaging, and any other relevant information. Once the referral is received, we will discuss potential solutions and treatment options with you when the appointment is booked.

Direct owner queries

Pet owners can contact us for general information, but a referral from your vet is required before any treatment or diagnostic procedures, except for a baseline gait analysis where you can call us or email us and refer yourself.

Preparing for Your Visit

To help us provide the best care and reduce stress for your pet:

  • If you are insured, bring your insurance claim form with all relevant details completed.
  • Minimise the number of people attending the appointment; ideally, the person who knows your pet best should be present.
  • Return the ‘New Client and Patient Form’ that you will receive via email before your appointment. This allows our team to prepare thoroughly.

If you have any further questions or have specific requirements, please contact us via phone 01664 778187 or email  info@mskvets.co.uk

Why Referral Matters

A referral is a way for veterinary professionals to work together to ensure your pet receives the best possible care. By coordinating with your primary vet, we can deliver tailored treatment plans, including gait analysis, regenerative therapies, and arthritis management, with continuity of care.
