Consultation Referral
For lameness investigations, OA consultations and gait analysis where the patient requires a clinical assessment.

CT Referral
For practices requesting CT imaging only.

Ultrasound Imaging Referral
For musculoskeletal or soft tissue ultrasound imaging without requiring a full consultation.

Surgical Referral
For patients requiring a specific procedure such as arthroscopy, intra-articular injections, bone marrow harvesting or other listed surgical procedures.

Details of Pet owner & Pet

Vet-led Outpatient Referral
The patient remains under the care of the referring practice.

  • MSK Vets performs the requested diagnostics or procedure.
  • The referring practice remains responsible for the ongoing management of the case.
  • The client is not invoiced by MSK Vets.
  • MSK Vets invoices the referring practice.
  • Reports and requested diagnostic information are returned to the referring practice.

Case Transfer
The patient is transferred to MSK Vets for ongoing management.

  • MSK Vets assumes responsibility for the case.
  • The client is invoiced directly by MSK Vets.
  • Reports and updates are still sent to the referring practice to maintain continuity of care.
