The Procedure

Autologous stem cells

  • Stem cells are collected from your pet’s fat under a short, light anaesthetic.
  • They are processed in a lab and later injected into the affected joint under anaesthetic.

Xenogeneic stem cells

  • A licensed stem cell product is injected into the joint under light sedation or anaesthetic.
  • No harvesting procedure is required, and the cells are well tolerated.

Most pets recover quickly and are able to move more comfortably within weeks.
